There are two primary design characteristics in the automated letter mailstream; printed self mailers and those that utilize envelopes. The eKEY® family of products encompasses both primary designs.
All eKEY® Mailers pictured have been tested and approved by postal engineers and the USPS Pricing and Classification Service Center (PCSC) for automated letter processing. In fact we have letters of approval for more than 40 different mail piece designs. The eKEY® family of products has a pre-approved design that will fill the majority of your marketing needs. But if you're thinking outside the box, we also have the knowledge and expertise to design, test and submit for postal approval mail piece designs for those special needs.
Remember: optical disks aren't the only objects eKEY® Mailers can safely carry through postal processing!
Self Mailers
eKEY® Mailers designed as self mailers can be simple bi-fold pieces or complex multi-fold multi-pocketed two-way mailers. eKEY® self mailers are constructed of 80# or 100# cover stock (for stability) and weigh more than an ounce. They can carry mini or standard sized disks or be designed to carry other forms of digital media.

Envelope Mailers
eKEY® Envelope mailers are a two piece combination that utilizes an insert piece to anchor and lift the optical disk within the envelope. Windowed or non-windowed our 6 x 8 eKEY® Envelope mailers can be used for quick efficient delivery of optical disks through the First Class mail stream and weigh less than one ounce. Our windowed mailer has also been approved as a two-way mail piece for the disc rental market. All of our envelope mailers have been tested and approved for automation by postal engineers and the USPS Pricing and Classification Service Center in New York.
If you mail at Standard Mail rates, the eKEY® 6 x 9½ Multimedia Mailer is your best envelope choice. These mailers are sized for mechanical insertion of the disk/insert combination along with collateral marketing material. The maximum thickness of this eKEY® Mailer is ¼ inch with a maximum weight not to exceed 3.5 ounces.
Need to ship two disks at the lowest possible cost? The eKEY® Family of disk mailers has self mailers and envelope mailers that get the job done. And, as with all eKEY® Mailers, they have been approved for automated letter rates in a dual disk configuration.
